This charming C19th Charentaise farmhouse in a rural setting surrounded by sunflower fields in summer, just outside Arvert is set on its own a short distance from the forest, with fully-enclosed grass garden, flowers and shrubs. Pool 11 x 5 x 0.2-2m depth with rigid security cover and roman steps is heated, ensuring comfortable temperatures for swimming. Covered summerhouse for dining al fresco, large sunny terrace for relaxing around the pool. BBQ.

The interior has been carefully restored retaining many original features. Sitting room has "cathedral" beamed ceiling, comfortable sofas and armchairs, stone fireplace, french doors to terrace. Archway to ‘farmhouse’ kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, table and chairs, open fire, door to terrace. Bath/WC. Sep WC. Laundry room with washing machine, extra fridge. From sitting room open-tread stairs (rope hand rail) to 1st floor with beamed gallery - NB: some areas have limited headroom. Spacious Bed 1: king-size, polished wooden floor and rugs. Bed 2: double. Beds 3 and 4: children's rooms under the eaves with limited headroom in some parts, both carpeted, each with 2 singles (suitable for children under 10 yrs old only) and limited hanging space. Some low windows upstairs. No linen available.
