Three km from St Antoine sur l’Isle for basic shopping. 5kms to Montpon with further shops tennis restaurants and bike hire. The town of Montpon is on the outskirts of the Double forest bordering the Gironde area reputed for its organ recitals and plenty of opportunities for visiting church’s monasteries and local architecture. As a curiosity stop visit the ‘Pisiculture Estudor’ famous for its production and selling of caviar at one of the largest river fish aquariums in Europe. A short drive takes you to the famous vineyards of St Emilion and less than an hour will take you to the large towns of Perigueux or Bergerac. Riding at St Seurin sur l’isle. International airport: Bergerac 56 kms. With well kept lawns to one side and enclosed area with pool at the back of the property this small yet attractive cottage lies within 40 acres of land which includes a large fishing pond (bring your own rod) just 100m from the cottage. In front of the pretty cottage are further lawns. Private pool 9 x 4.5 x 1-1.70m depth with security alarm and sun bathing areas. BBQ. The discreet owner and friendly dog live on site in the house next door. The interior has been sympathetically decorated to enhance the wooden beams giving the sitting/dining room a cosy feeling. TV/DVD/CD player. Pleasant hallway leading to Bed 1: double. Bed 2: double and single. A second smaller hall with hanging space for both bedrooms leads to shower room and separate WC. Kitchen with dishwasher microwave (no oven in kitchen area) with door leading to garden and pool area. Utility room to the side of house with washing machine and gas cooker with electric oven.
