The village of Neuvic is 1km away and boasts a large beautiful lake which during the summer is home to a variety of water-sports including sailing water-skiing and fishing. The town offers a small supermarket and a variety of shops as well as two nine hole golf courses horse-riding facilities and three excellent restaurants two which are located on the edge of the lake. There is adequate shopping available in Neuvic and Ussel is twenty minutes by car for large shops. There are five of the “most beautiful villages of France” an hours’ drive away (three are clustered together) and the beautiful river towns of Argentat and Beaulieau sur Dordogne are less than an hour by car. The Auvergne volcanic mountains are within easy reach in a day for mountain walks and spectacular scenery. Sarlat in the Dordogne is a two hour drive. International Airport: Limoges 152 km/ Bergerac 207 km/ St Étienne 249km.
