Villa Description

In a beautiful valley midway between the stunning white village of Casares and the coast near Estepona and Gibraltar Hacienda Azedia is an extensive private estate of 5 charming cottages (plus the owner’s house) that have been tastefully designed and converted by a renowned architect. Set in extensive lawned grounds against a dramatic backdrop of mountains the estate offers complete tranquillity yet is only 20 min drive from the beaches of the Costa del Sol. The cottages are private from each other and each has its own private terrace with access to one of the two swimming pools that are fed from a local spring. One pool is circular (10m diameter depth 1.5m with ladder) and bordered by sun terraces whilst the other pool (11m x 4.5m depth 1.3m to 1.6m with roman steps) is set in the middle of the garden with superb views and is bordered by grassy lawns. The cottages all have air conditioning and heating at no extra charge and are comfortably furnished in local style with lots of wood beams colourful fabrics and tiles as well as plenty of charm. Although the Hacienda is so beautiful that you may never want to leave Casares and Gaucin (30 min drive away) are both stunningly picturesque whilst historic Ronda and lively Marbella are both within easy driving distance. Horse riding is available nearby and in low season this is fantastic walking country with amazing wild flowers and wildlife. Apart from the 2 pools and lovely gardens there is also a sauna for guests’use. A communal washing machine is also available although many guests prefer to pay the friendly maids to do this for them. There is also a shower/luggage room for guests with late departing flights. The West House is a very spacious open plan house full of light. Built on 3 levels with a twin bedroom and bathroom on the upper floor. On the middle level a lounge with basic satellite TV opens onto 2 terraces (one shaded) and steps into the garden and pool area plus a fitted kitchen/dining room with microwave and dishwasher. A double bedroom with open plan dressing room (with sofa bed) and shower/WC are located half a level beneath the lounge. Minimum stay 7 nights Saturday changeover. Weekly cleaning and linen change. Personal laundry service is available at extra cost.
