La Molineta - La Panificadora

Nestling against a backdrop of hills between Nerja (4km) and Frigiliana (1km) La Molineta is a 300 year old watermill in a small hamlet of houses within a surrounding wall and has recently been declared a ‘Protected Property of Outstanding Attraction’ by the Spanish authorities. Lovingly restored over the last 40 years each of the 8 houses has its own individual character and furnishings much superior to the usual holiday villa. It has been featured in several interior design magazines and the larger houses in particular are furnished with antiques fine paintings and other works of art. The houses are entirely private from each other and are on different levels linked by a series of steps and pathways. The beautiful terraced gardens are a special feature of La Molineta and are full of colour scented shrubs and fruit trees. Each has its own private garden BBQ and terrace and 7 of the 8 houses have their own pools. Wood burning stoves are provided for cooler evenings. The houses can be booked individually by couples or families or 2 or more houses can be taken together by a larger party. La Panificadora is a stylish and very comfortable home that was originally the baker’s house at La Molineta and is next door to Casa Rosa (SST003). It has been lovingly restored and offers high standards of comfort as well as a private and secluded walled garden filled with flowers and a secret charm shaded dining terrace with BBQ and a deep blue swimming pool (7m x 4m depth 1m to 1.5m with roman steps) . Inside the Panificadora is very spacious and is ideal for families or a group of friends. With many stylish touches and lots of character it offers much more than the usual holiday villa. The easy access to both Frigiliana (1 km) with its small selection of shops and restaurants and the beaches and amenities of Nerja (5 km) makes the Panificadora an ideal choice at any time of year. Two storeys. Steps up to front door from parking area. Spacious and stylish kitchen with microwave and American-style fridge dining room lounge with TV Video (with a supply of English films) and CD player. Double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower handbasin and WC and patio doors opening onto garden and pool. Washing machine in cupboard. Upstairs are a further double bedroom with air conditioning and heating (free of charge) plus a dressing room and extra bed for a child 1 twin and a further bathroom with shower/WC. There are high walls with a lockable gate between La Panificadora and Casa Rosa so both houses are completely private but can be linked together for a large party if required. Twice weekly cleaning and weekly linen change. Saturday changeover (any day arrivals permitted between 27 Oct 07 to 14 Mar 08).
