For every day shopping the town of Villamblard is just 6kms and Campsegret is 4km with a bakery and restaurant. Ideally situated just 20 minutes from Bergerac with its old quarter stretching out from above the quays through quaint alleys and old squares with many fine stone and half timbered buildings, restaurants, cafés and boutiques. Cultural events are staged throughout the year. This is an area particularly rich in vineyards and the local wines come highly recommended; appellations include Bergerac, Pecharmant, Montravel, and Monbazillac to name but a few. Canoeing and an 'Aqualand' for the more energetic are nearby. International airport Bergerac 18km.

The property is listed in Perigord's historical brochure 'Leygonie' as one of the most attractive manor houses in this area. Owned by the same family since 1471 it has recently been renovated to a high standard. The estate covers 300 acres of meadow and woods with footpaths for those who enjoy walking. There is also a pond approx 200m from the house and below the terrace where carp and roach can be caught. Trout can also be caught in the nearby stream, so don't forget your fishing rod! Private pool 12m x 6m x 1.2m-1.8m depth with security alarm and fence. The discreet owners may occasionally use the end wing, but in no way does this infringe on your privacy.

The interior of the house is tastefully furnished with many antiques. Sitting /dining room separated by an archway, both rooms have fireplaces and have direct access to the terrace. TV and CD player. Bed 2: double with cot and small single bed for a child. Bed 3: single, plus bunk beds for children in little corridor. Bed 4: one double and a large single. Bed 5 : 2 singles. Bathroom and WC. Access via Bed 5 or from sitting room to separate annexe. First floor landing area with sofa, door to Bed 5 and access to Bed 6: double. Shower/Wc, can be used by either Beds 5 or 6.
