Large choice of beaches on the Atlantic coast within 90 min drive including Royan and Meschers. Saintes 40 km has chic boutiques, Roman arena and boat trips on the Charente river. Cognac and the distilleries 35 min drive. Historical town of Angoulme 1 hour drive. An ideal situation for cycling and walking in the gentle countryside all around. A delightful, spacious property, beautifully renovated to provide comfortable and stylish accommodation. In a tranquil setting on the outskirts of the village, with views over the fields beyond, this lovely old mill house with small river running beneath and separate cottage are set beside a stream with a central courtyard separating the two properties. (Although the stream may dry up in Summer, careful supervision of young children is recommended). Saline treated pool 11 x 5.5 x 1-1.7m depth with roman steps, security fence and solar heated pool-side shower. Good-sized garden with large patio, flower beds and lawns, large shady area with trees. Helpful owners occupy the right wing of the main house but have separate access and may occasionally use the pool but only when clients are out for the day. BBQ.
