Angouleme the capital of the area is a 20 min drive with its historic centre. 10 min drive to the Charente Lakes with man-made beaches restaurants and many water based activities. Cognac 45 mins is famous for its brandy and vineyards and is worth a day trip so too is Ora-Sur-Glanne 30 min away a village sacked during World War 2 which remains movingly as it was left along with a modern memorial building of its history. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walking cycling and horse riding. International airports: Limoges 70km/ Bergerac 140km/Poitiers 144km. All on one level this modern and well maintained property has magnificent views across fields and woods from a delightful covered veranda from where you will enjoy drinking aperitifs whilst marvelling at the panoramic views. There is a small drop from the veranda which is protected with fencing and plants around the eating area with table chairs and BBQ. The garden and secure grounds include a small orchard a copse with secret area beyond which is a bench overlooking the valley. Kidney shaped private pool 8 x 5 x 1m depth with security fence as well as chairs and sun loungers. The unobtrusive caretaker lives in a separate apartment below the house. Very well presented house with large sitting/dining room overlooking fields with comfortable sofa and chairs dining table for 6 satellite TV/DVD and CD player. Well equipped small kitchen with extra seating for 4 dishwasher and microwave. Bed 1: double. Bed 2: 2 singles. Both rooms are off the corridor. There are 2 extra folding beds if required.
