Situated in the lovely Le Verdier just 3 km from Thenon a small market town with a good selection of shops restaurants and a Tuesday morning market for local produce. The pretty town Perigueux is 33 km and has a wealth of sights including the Saint-Front cathedral and the medieval old town. It is wonderful for shopping with a bustling market on Wednesday and Saturday. It also provides restaurants offering local delights. 15 km from the pre-historic sights of the Lascaux caves and Vezere. Sarlat 40 min drive is well worth a visit with its beautiful C16th and C17th architecture and historic places of interest. The large town of Brive is also a 40 min drive. International airport: Bergerac 80 km /Limoges 140 km. This Perigourdine villa has lovely features and stone walls. It sits in fully enclosed grounds full of trees and flowers. Two pretty terraces one covered with views over the pool and garden the second a courtyard on the opposite side of the house with BBQ wonderful for enjoying al fresco dining. Pool house for storage. Pool 8 x 4 x 0.4-1.6m depth with alarm steps and sunloungers. Spacious and comfortably furnished villa. Large living/dining room with TV stone fireplace feature beams farm table and chairs. French windows to shaded terrace garden and pool area. The kitchen is open to the living/dining room 3 steps lead up to the dining area. French windows lead to an interior courtyard. Well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher microwave and further dining area. Large conservatory with pretty wrought-iron furniture. Utility room with washing machine. Bed 1: double french window to interior courtyard. Bathroom. Sep WC. Stairs to first floor open out onto mezzanine used as a further seating area. Bed 2: this bedroom is accessed up a few stairs from the mezzanine and is not closed double ensuite shower/WC. Bed 3: double. Bed 4: 2 narrow singles. Bed 5: double. Access to bed 5 is only through beds 3 and 4 all three bedrooms are linked. Cot on request. Pets allowed on request. Security deposit: €400 cash payable locally. Bed linen towel and tea towel hire on request at the time of booking: €15 per person per week payable locally.
