Situated in the Parc naturel des landes de Gascogne, with stunning valleys and numerous pine forests. The open air musuem is well worth a visit, and there is an adundance of hiking, biking, canoeing and kayaking available. Small village of Mios with local shops just 2 km. 10 min drive to the stunning beaches of Bassin d’Arcachon, 100 km of coastline stretching from Arachon to Cap Ferret. Close by are many large lakes including lake Sanguinet, 15 km, with many beaches to choose from. Sanguinet village has all shops, restaurants and a bustling market on Wednesday and Sunday. Arcachon, 25 km, is a seaside town with wonderful architecture. Bordeaux, just 40 km, with lovely architecture, many historic monuments and restaurants. Cap Ferret, just under 1 hour drive, for smart restaurants and chic boutiques. International airport: Bordeaux 45 km.

Perfect for couples and small families, this pretty chalet is set in vast grounds, which includes a large unprotected lake. Under 6, non-swimmers, not allowed due to lake. The grounds are full of trees which provide welcome shade. Terrace with dining furniture and barbecue for al fresco dining. Pool area surrounded by flowers and trees, heated pool 10 x 5 depth 0.8–2.3m depth with security alarm, an external shower and sunloungers for enjoying the climate. The discreet owner lives on site but in separate accommodation.

A light living/dining room with wood floors, dining table and chairs, double sofa-bed and TV. Small kitchen with washing machine, microwave and access to the poolside. Open wooden stairs leads to first floor, opening onto room with single sofa-bed and lovely views of the pool area. Mezzanine area with double bed and views over the forest and pool. Shower/WC. Pets allowed on request. Security deposit €400 cash.
