A 5 minute drive from the small town of Les Cabannes which has restaurant bar and basic shops. 5km away is the spectacular hilltop town of Cordes-sur-Ciel with breathtaking views as well as plenty of restaurants and a good range of shops. 30 min drive from Albi the lovely old town of art and culture with its beautiful cathedral bridge and fascinating Toulouse Lautrec museum. There are many attractive villages and vineyards to visit in the surrounding area which is also ideal for walking cycling and other outdoor pursuits. International airports: Toulouse 90km Rodez 85km. Located in a small hamlet with very pleasant gardens planted with ornamental trees and shrubs. Private pool (8 x 4 x 1-1.5m depth ) has ladder steps and a perimeter security fence. A small lane runs alongside the garden which is fully enclosed with a wall that is quite low in places. BBQ. Accommodation is spacious and furnishings are an attractive mix of modern and antique French. Large sitting room with comfortable seating is in two parts separated by a double-aspect open fireplace; satellite TV (French channels only) DVD and CD player provided in the smaller sitting area. Patio doors lead from the sitting room to the garden. Large kitchen (dining table for 6 with additional chairs/table on adjacent terrace) also has patio doors leading to the terrace which is partly roofed to give a choice of sun or shade. Kitchen has fitted oven and hob large fridge/freezer dishwasher and microwave. An adjacent area houses the washing machine tumble dryer and a separate WC. Stairs to first floor: (care needed these are steep and open-tread and not suitable for young children) from the sitting room to Bed 1: spacious double with antique furnishings. Bed 2: single and a pair of bunks so is ideal for children. Bed 3: double a lovely light room with double aspect windows and a view over the gardens .
