Just 1 min walk to tranquil historic village of St Front-sur-Lémance for shop, grocers, bar and hairdresser. Close to magnificent castle of Bonaguil and within reach of Dordogne and Lot rivers for glorious scenery, castles, canoeing, medieval towns, pre-history and gastronomic experiences. Larger town of Fumel 15 min drive has banks, a good selection of shops and restaurants and public pool. Many local markets including Monsempron-Libos, 15 min drive, reputedly the largest in the region. International airport Bergerac 55 km.

Charming old property built over a little river and having its own small lake, fed by the river and safe to bathe in but, obviously, care needed with small children. Little boat available for paddling around in lake or river which is excellent for fishing. Terrace overlooking lake, steps down to garden, shady trees at lakeside, BBQ. Table tennis table (bring your own bats, balls). Delightful French owner lives next door, on hand to help if necessary.

This house has been tastefully restored and furnished in traditional rustic style. Living/dining room with sofa-bed and armchairs, open fire, dining table and chairs, TV/video/DVD and hi-fi. Fitted kitchen with microwave, kitchen breakfast table and 4 chairs. Fridge, washing machine and dishwasher in urility room off of kitchen. Steep open-tread stairs from living room to mezzanine bedroom: double, very low cross beams. Bathroom. Sep WC. Stairway forks to Bed 1: double, and steep stairs to Bed 2: wide single (boat bed) and children's bunk beds. Cot, highchair and babygate on request.
