The magnificent Villa Luka country cottage is on the outskirts of the village of Magyarlukafa. The village is beside the ancient forests of the enormous Zselic Nature Reserve. The origins of Magyarlukafa can be traced to the Roman Villa Luca that stood there in the Fourth Century. The current villa is on the former estates of the Hungarian Count Festetich.
A former grain barn has been renovated and converted into a luxurious cottage that combines country living with every modern comfort. The living room is 70m2 and each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. The cottage is in two hectares of land and on top of a hill. It enjoys magnificent, panoramic views of the surrounding forests of acacia trees, sunflower fields and vineyards. On a clear day the view extends all the way to the Papuk Mountains in Croatia.
There are good golfing opportunities in the proximity, at the 18-hole Hencse Golf & Country Club. The wine area Villany is 86 km away and the new thermal bath in Szigetvar is 20 km away. Budapest is 2 1/2h drive away.
